The Department of Arts & Culture celebrates Albuquerque’s 318th Birthday at Historic Old Town Plaza from noon to 4 p.m. Enjoy food, live music, and entertainment, including face painting, live performances, and special offers at participating Old Town stores, food trucks, and local restaurants, with San Felipe de Neri Church cooking its famous burgers in the church courtyard. Pet adoptions sponsored by the City’s Animal Welfare will have waived fees. Admission is free. Schedule: Ballet Folklorico Fiesta Mexicana, noon; Mariachi Tenampa, 1 p.m.; Founders’ Ceremony, 1:30 p.m.; Baracutanga-Latin, 2 p.m.
