July 20 & 21

Time: 10:00 am-04:00 pm

Event Description: New Mexico History Museum is hosting the 2024 Native
American Artisans Portal Summer Youth Show in the courtyard on July 20 & 21,
2024. This is a free event. Admission to the entire museum campus is also
free each day. The Native American Artisans Portal Summer Youth Show features
art and crafts by youth artists ages five to seventeen who specialize in a
variety of artistic mediums. The youth will be showcasing and selling their
work in the museum’s courtyard of the Palace of the Governors. The event
fosters the development of young artists who are descendants of current
Native American Artisans Portal Program members and celebrates the importance
of the continued traditions of Native American artistry. The Portal Program
offers buyers the chance to interact with artisans who display their handmade
wares under the portal of the Palace of the Governors, as they have for
decades. Admission to the Summer Youth Show, as well as the museum campus, is
free each day. The Native American Artisans Portal Summer Youth Show provides
the community and visitors a chance to support the talents from the next
generation of Native American artists and craftspeople.
