Inherit The Wind – Adobe Theater

March 3-26

Inherit The Wind at The Adobe Theater, 9813 4th Street NW. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. This enthralling drama is a fictionalized account of the 1925 Scopes “Monkey” Trial, which resulted in John T. Scopes being convicted for teaching Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution to a high school science class, contrary to a Tennessee law. Tickets are $15-$24. Call (505) 898-9222. Visit https://www.adobetheater.org/. The Adobe Theater is proud to present the Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee play which premiered in 1955 and they are thrilled to bring 28 actors to its stage – it will be quite a feat for director James Cady. Philip J. Shortell and Paul Ford, two of Albuquerque’s finest actors, play the roles of Henry Drummond (based on Clarence Darrow) and Matthew Harrison Brady (based on William Jennings Bryan) respectively.
