For more than 36 years, Prime Time has had the privilege of serving New Mexico’s 50+ community. What began as a magazine has grown into something much more meaningful — a place where readers find trusted information, share experiences, and stay connected to the people and resources that shape our community.
Over the years, I’ve come to realize something that makes Prime Time truly special: our readers don’t just read the magazine — you participate.
We’ve been thrilled by the response to the new engagement features introduced in our recent issue. The excitement around the Search & Find Game and the thoughtful responses we received for Prime Time Voices have reminded us just how vibrant and connected this community truly is. Hearing from readers across New Mexico — sharing reflections, stories, and a little friendly competition — has been incredibly rewarding for our team. Your participation is what makes these pages come alive, and we look forward to continuing to hear your voices and celebrating the experiences that make our community so special.
What continues to inspire us most is the way this community shows up — for one another and for the future. Whether it’s sharing wisdom gained over the years, supporting local events, or simply taking a moment to engage with something new, your involvement helps shape the direction of everything we do. It reminds us that this publication is not just about information, but about connection, purpose, and belonging.
Because of our incredible community, we’re excited to introduce something new this year — the NM Aging Well Initiative (NMAWI).
This initiative builds on the work we’ve been doing for decades by bringing together trusted information, caregiver resources, and opportunities for community connection. Through the magazine, our Aging Well Series, the Family Caregiver Resource Guide, and the annual Prime Time 50+ Expo (30th Annual at a new location this year; NM Natural History Museum), we hope to continue strengthening the resources available to mature adults and families across New Mexico.
In the months ahead, you’ll see even more ways to get involved — from new reader features and community spotlights to expanded resources designed to support both independence and caregiving. Our goal is to continue evolving alongside you, offering not only helpful information but meaningful opportunities to stay engaged and inspired.
But at the heart of this initiative is something very simple: community.
We believe that staying connected — to information, to resources, and to each other — is one of the most important parts of navigating life’s next chapters.
And that community starts with you.
