The International Western Music Association celebrates its 20th year hosting the organization’s annual convention in Albuquerque this month. This year’s event honoring cowboy music and cowboy poetry is titled “All Roads Lead to Albuquerque” and is scheduled for noon Nov. 13 through noon Nov. 17 at Hotel Albuquerque, 800 Rio Grande Blvd NW.
The event will feature concerts, workshops, Western merchandise and art from across the U.S. and Canada, and Western harmony, yodeling, poetry, and songwriting contests.
“The IWMA’s purpose is to keep traditional Western music and cowboy poetry alive while planning the future to ensure new music and poetry is being written,” said executive director Marsha Short.
